The New Year is around the corner. Whether you will have a night out on the town or will enjoy festivities in the comfort of your home (or your friend's/family's), you will probably bring in the new year with a bit of fashion flair. At this point, you likely have figured out what you will wear --- from your outfit, to the accessories, to your hair and makeup. I'm betting that the preparation for this holiday will also include getting your nails done. One of the downsides of getting your nails done (this definitely is relevant for hair and makeup too) professionally around the holidays is the incredible busyness of your favorite salon. If you don't plan ahead, you might have a nail biting situation on your hands.
So, in interest of time, a home manicure might be a worthwhile option for this occassion! This year, I will be testing out a home manicure method by Laura Scott, one of my favorite bloggers. Click here for the link to her routine. It entails three polishes: your favorite nail color, Gelous polish and Seche Vite polish. With this routine, my nails are supposed to be chip-free for at least 14 days! I have no idea what I will wear to bring the year in (I'll be partying it up in a cabin in the mountains for the holiday), but I have chosen Branch Out by Sally Hansen, a perfect plum color for the holiday season.
I will keep you posted on how this method works for me! In the meantime, tell me--- how do you prepare for holiday festivities such as New Year's Eve/Day?
